“I WILL NOT SEEK NOR WILL I ACCEPT THE NOMINATION Of MY PARTY……”

Those were the words President Lyndon Baines Johnson used on March 31, 1968 when he recognized that it was over for him as President of the United States of America.

The Vietnam War had devoured him and he had no chance of uniting his Party, The Democratic Party, under his leadership.

Johnson’s choice to succeed him was his Vice President, Hubert Humphrey, who received the Party’s Nomination at a riotous Convention in Chicago.

Humphrey lost a close election to a certain Richard Milhous Nixon. Johnson completed his term, returned to his ranch in Texas and died January 22, 1973 at age 63.

There is a lesson there for Joe Biden. To continue the race and serve four more years, were he to win, is absolutely unthinkable. To trudge on stumbling and bumbling would be an act of supreme selfishness.

For whose benefit? Certainly not the United States of America.

Do the Right Thing Joe. You have served well and honorably.

Let the country know your intentions. Release Delegates pledged to youat the upcoming Democratic Conventions and finish your Term.

Its the right thing to do.
